The eastern mid region of the Moon on May 25. On top Mare Crisium or Sea of Crisis. An old formation around 500 Km in diameter and about 4 billion years old and home to Arthur C Clarke's "The Sentinel" , origin for "2001: A Space Odyssey". Further down Langrenus Crater with a diameter of 133 kms, with a central peak. The crater is named after a Flemish astronomer Florent Van Langren. To the south of the image Petavius crater 177 kms in diameter shows a magnificent central peak about 1700 meters high and several riles inside the crater
