The two prominent features centered in this moon image are the craters Petavius and Furnerius. In the distance, the crater Humboldt resides closer to the horizon. Near the lower left edge of the image is the crater Langrenus. This panorama was taken during a waxing crescent phase 4.6 days old.
A Celestron CPC 800 telescope and Imaging Source DMK 21AU618.AS camera fitted with an Astronomik ProPlanet 742 filter, captured four videos to create this panorama. The videos were stacked in RegiStax, merged in Photoshop, with further adjustments in Aperture.
