SNHunt149 = PSN J01184597+1459402
Discovered by Stan Howerton on Catalina Sky Survey image through CRTS SNHunt
Discovery date: September 16, 2012
Note: S. Leonini, G. Guerrini, P. Rosi, D. Soldateschi and L.M. Tinjaca Ramirez of Italian Supernovae Search Project posted to the TOCP after SNHunt discovery that they had found it independently on September 10. However, their detection was not mentioned on any of the sites I check to verify a supernova is known. Among the sites are TOCP www.cbat.eps.harvard.edu/unconf/tocp.html and David Bishop's page which is very thorough at listing new discoveries www.rochesterastronomy.org/snimages/
Comparison stars have V magnitude computed from SDSS g and r data:
SDSS J011836.13+145944.6 = 17.53V
SDSS J011838.51+145552.9= 17.81V
