Via Flickr:
An 8-field mosaic of the Moon during the last quarter, around the satellite's north pole. The main features are Mare Frigoris, Mare Imbrium, Sinus Iridum, crater Plato and Montes Alpes.
Images acquired with a PL1 camera equipped with a red filter and set on a C14 scope. For each field, I acquired 499 frames of which I selected the 25 sharpest ones with Avistack2. I carried out a bit of sharpening and edge enhancing with personal scripts within IDL, assembled the mosaic with Hugin and made a few last operations (cropping, rotation and light curve) with Photoshop.
