The robotic geologist Opportunity recently rolled into a huge Martian crater called Endeavour. As it has so often during its long journey, it found a beautiful but ghostly landscape, full of color and begging for exploration. These are two small sections of sweeping new mosaics of the crater and its surroundings assembled from raw data by James Canvin.
See the stunning complete panoramas on his site.
