Kepler mission has discovered the most compact planetary system found to date

The kepler planet-hunting mission has discovered the most compact planetary system found to date. Six planets have been found. The system known as Kepler-11 is located c 2,000 lt yrs away in Cygnus.
Five of the planets orbit closer to their sun than Mercury does to our sun. The sixth orbits a little further out.
The planets are from 2.3 to 13.5 times the mass of Earth.
The two outer planets are the largest, they are gaseous worlds.
